Selection Process
The scholarship recipients will be chosen by a panel from Blueberry and studentum.fi. Selection will be based on a combination of academic merit, the quality of the application letter, and the potential of the candidate to succeed in their U.S. studies.
If there are a large number of applicants, academic performance may become an important factor in the final decision. For the first year, since we anticipate fewer applications, the selection will be on a rolling basis. From 2025 onwards, we will introduce an application deadline. The decision is at Blueberry and studentum.fi full discretion and it not possible to appeal. The receivers may be announced publicly.
Duration and Conditions
The Ehrnrooth Scholarship will be offered from 2025 to 2029, but students who receive the scholarship in 2028/29 will continue to receive support until they complete their program, as long as they finish within the regular study period. The scholarship is given by the Louise & Göran Ehrnrooths stiftelse but managed through Keystone Education Group.
In order to maintain the scholarship, recipients must successfully pass their courses and meet the academic standards of their respective institutions. If a student does not pass their courses the scholarship may be discontinued. The scholarship will only cover the regular duration of the program. For example if a bachelors degree is 4 years it will not cover a fifth year even if they student have required courses left.
