Request for exchange technical and vocational certificates obtained aboard into Finnish
Hello,
I have many technical certificates from Iran and over 20 years of experience. These include:
1- Plumber and installer of sanitary equipment
2- Industrial electrician
3- working with Asbestos safety
4- Working at height safety
5- Bachelor's degree in Thermal and Refrigerating Installations Technology Engineering
6- Steel structure welding by SMAW process
I would like to inquire about the process of having my foreign technical and vocational certificates recognized and potentially exchanged for equivalent Finnish qualifications.

Thank you for your question! To have your foreign technical and vocational certificates recognized in Finland, you can contact the Finnish National Agency for Education, Opetushallitus. They handle the recognition of foreign qualifications. It is said on their website:
“In most cases, an employer, educational institution, or higher education institution will assess the qualifications and skills that your foreign degree has provided.
You will need a recognition decision from the Finnish National Agency for Education or another authority if you want to work in a regulated profession or in a position that requires a specific level of higher education degree.”
So, what I suggest is that you contact the Finnish National Agency for Education regarding this matter. They will help you with the process and if you have more questions on this topic! 😊
